Agh! So much STUFF happening with Star Wars right now! Remember when it was simple? A New Hope released, world goes absolutely crazy with wonder. George Lucas is idolized, and more movies are released along with merchandise which makes good ol' George quite wealthy, and inspiring authors to write a few books and some artists to do comic books. Good, very good. Simple enough.
See? Without the true video game craze, things were very simple, and easy to keep track of.
NOW, they have a million different games, comic books, novels, and a TON more merch items than all the books combined. Plus all the fan fiction, fan news sites, some that make a difference, and those that are just for fun and that the owner doesn't expect much other than that.

Just to list a few current happenings that I can bring to you using memory(Oh no...), let's try this.

George Lucas apparently told the world that all EU is now non-canon. Meaning only the movies, Clone Wars and maybe a few other things he deems worthy are actually part of the TRUE story. Bah, as a die hard SW fan, I will ALWAYS think of the books, some games, and comics as canon. George probably did this so he could continue making the Clone Wars and other movies the way he wanted without having to conform to what the books say. Hmm....

And of course the vague rumors of Georg planning the 7th, 8th and 9th movies...supposedly there will be a 1000 year difference between those 3 movies and the original trilogy. Should be interesting.
That and the other rumor about a Boba Fett movie. That would make me VERY happy should that happen. As long as they get good actors and as long as they stick to what the EU says, because that is EVERYTHING about B. Fett. If they do go through with all of this, I hope they do a good job.

Ok, my memory just kicked the bucket. Sheesh, can't it last long enough for a simple blog post?! Oh well, so there are a few things that are happening, and yes, you have probably heard all about it from thestarwarstalkshow.blogspot.com or the Star Wars Underworld(Not sure what the URL is, but it's on blogger), but maybe not all of you.
